Former captain Intikhab Alam, who heads the Pakistan Cricket Board's domestic cricket operations, said on Wednesday that they are planning to have the suspended Saeed Ajmal undergo the bio-mechanic tests with a corrected bowling action before the World Cup so he is available for selection for the mega event next year.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has indicated that this year's Indian Premier League could be conducted in empty stadiums, insisting that all possible options are being explored to ensure that the suspended event does take place despite the COVID-19 pandemic. In a letter to all the affiliated units sent late on Wednesday after the ICC Board meeting, Ganguly seemed confident of an IPL this year despite its current status of being indefinitely suspended because of the raging pandemic, which has claimed more than 8,000 lives in India.

The BCCI made a surplus of Rs 111.83 crore in the last fiscal, a dip of over Rs 55 crore as compared to the previous one, said its Treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry. "In the year under consideration, the surplus of income over expenditure was Rs 111.83 crore as against Rs 166.87 crore in the earlier year," stated Chaudhry in his annual report for 2015-16.
